A friend gave me this recipe some time ago and it quickly became a family favourite! It’s simple to make and the ingredients are ones that most people have on hand. We like it as is with roast potatoes on the side or served over rice or noodles.
4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 Cup Ketchup
1/4 Cup finely chopped onion
1/4 Cup Vinegar
3 Tbsp sugar
1/4 Cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 Cup water
4 Cloves Garlic minced
Note: Original recipe called for a whopping 1 T. of salt which to me is way too much. I rarely add salt to food as I prepare it anyway, preferring to let people salt it to their taste.
Directions: There are very few directions here! Simply place the chicken in a baking dish. Mix the remaining ingredients together and pour over the chicken. Bake at 375 degrees F for 45 minutes until the chicken is done completely through. That’s it!
